Introduction

Welcome to AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI. This Privacy Policy explains how Rele Company ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI mobile application (the "App"), a personal finance and expense tracking app. We built AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI to be privacy-first: your financial data lives on your device, no account is required, and we never run our own servers to store your transactions.

1. Information We Collect

AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI collects the following information to provide its core functionality:

  • Financial & Transaction Data: Income, expense, and transfer records you create or import, including amounts, merchant names, categories, accounts, dates, and notes, as well as your budgets, savings goals, and subscription entries
  • Receipt & Image Data (for AI Scanning): Photos of receipts, payment screens, or bills that you choose to scan or share. These images are sent to an AI service for one-time extraction of transaction details and are not retained by us after processing
  • Text You Submit (for AI Parsing): Text you scan, paste, or share — such as a copied bank SMS notification or a shared payment message — which is sent to an AI service to extract transaction details
  • Subscription Information: Purchase and subscription status processed through RevenueCat for managing premium features
  • Anonymous Usage Analytics (Optional): Aggregated, non-identifying app usage events (such as which features are used) to help us improve the App. This never includes your financial or transaction data

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To store, display, and organize your transactions, budgets, goals, and subscriptions
  • To extract transaction details (amount, merchant, date, category) from receipts and text using AI
  • To sync your data across your devices via iCloud (Apple CloudKit)
  • To send local notifications for reminders, such as upcoming subscription renewals
  • To generate on-device reports, trends, and personalized insights about your spending
  • To manage subscription status and premium feature access
  • To understand aggregate, anonymous usage patterns so we can improve the App

3. AI-Powered Scanning & Parsing

AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI uses Google's Gemini API (Generative Language API) to read receipts, payment screens, and text you submit and to extract the transaction details for you. To make this work:

  • Only the image or text you explicitly choose to scan, share, or parse is sent to the AI service — and only at the moment you initiate it
  • The data is used solely to extract transaction details and return them to your device. We do not store these images or texts on any server after processing
  • Your broader financial history, budgets, and goals are never sent to the AI service
  • Data sent to the Gemini API is handled in accordance with Google's Gemini API Terms and the Google Privacy Policy

The monthly reports, trends, and spending insights shown inside the App are generated on your device and do not require uploading your transaction history.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using the following:

  • SwiftData (Local Storage): All of your financial and transaction data is stored locally on your device
  • Apple CloudKit (iCloud Sync): Your data is synced across your devices through your personal iCloud account, encrypted in transit and at rest. You can disable this in your iCloud settings
  • RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase data is processed through RevenueCat's secure infrastructure. RevenueCat does not receive your financial or transaction data

We do not operate our own servers to store your personal financial data. All transaction data remains on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

5. Third-Party Services

AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple CloudKit: For syncing your data across your Apple devices via iCloud
  • Google Gemini API: For extracting transaction details from receipts, images, and text you choose to scan or share
  • RevenueCat: For managing in-app subscriptions and purchases
  • Firebase Remote Config (Google): For delivering remote configuration (such as AI model settings) without requiring an app update
  • Analytics (Optional): A privacy-preserving analytics service may be used to collect aggregated, anonymous usage events that never include your financial or transaction data

6. Data We Do NOT Collect

To be clear, AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI does not:

  • Require you to create an account or provide an email, phone number, or name
  • Connect to your bank, credit card, or financial institution accounts
  • Collect location data
  • Collect health or fitness data
  • Access your contacts, address book, or microphone
  • Show advertisements or use advertising identifiers or tracking data
  • Sell your personal information

AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI can detect a bank SMS that you copy to your clipboard, but it only reads the clipboard when you bring the App to the foreground, and only to help you log a transaction. Nothing is read in the background.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your financial data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We only share data with the third-party services listed above to the extent necessary to provide the corresponding feature (for example, sending a receipt image to the AI service for parsing, or subscription status to RevenueCat). We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

8. Data Retention

Your data is stored locally on your device and in your iCloud account. You can delete individual transactions, budgets, goals, or subscriptions at any time within the App, or remove all local data by deleting the App. When the App is deleted, all local data is removed. iCloud data can be managed through your iCloud settings. Images and text sent for AI parsing are not retained by us after the transaction details are returned.

9. Children's Privacy

AnyMoney - Budget & Expense AI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Your data is stored on your device and iCloud — you have direct access at all times
  • Deletion: Delete individual items in the App or remove all data by deleting the App
  • iCloud Sync: Disable iCloud sync for the App through your iCloud settings
  • Notifications: Control notification preferences in your device settings
  • AI Scanning: AI parsing only runs when you initiate a scan, share, or paste — you can simply enter transactions manually instead
  • Camera & Photos: Revoke camera or photo library access at any time through your device's Privacy settings

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
